The project involved a complex fit-out of a 13-story, 145,000 square foot space, including various cancer care units such as radiation therapy, exam rooms, infusion suites, and laboratories. Cauldwell Wingate oversaw the management of specialty trades, including radiation protection installation, pneumatic tube system implementation, and specialty flooring.     NYU Meyer Complex Physical Chemistry Lab Healthcare/Life Sciences NYU Meyer Complex Physical Chemistry Lab Project Info Project Info NYU Meyer Complex Physical Chemistry Lab Cauldwell Wingate was engaged by New York University as a Construction Manager to provide preconstruction and construction management services for their new physical chemistry lab. The project was a build-out of a chemical synthesis lab and optical physics laboratories. The scope consisted of the gut renovation of existing facilities including the installation of high-precision self-leveling lab tables, fume hoods, casework, extensive lab gases and water hookups, showers and emergency eyewash areas, and safety monitoring devices for the state-of-the-art research facility. In addition, extensive infrastructure was required to support the lab and maintain ongoing operation of adjacent animal laboratories including new rooftop exhaust and customized air handling equipment, heat exchangers and electrical risers.
