Cauldwell Wingate Company was engaged by NYU Langone Medical Center to provide construction management services for the initial fit-out of their 13-story, 145,000 sf flagship clinical cancer care facility in Midtown Manhattan. The complex fit-out of this National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center included a radiation therapy unit with linear accelerators, PET/CTs and CT-SIMs, a simulator room, exam rooms, physician offices, infusion suites, pharmacy, laboratory, conference areas, and patient waiting areas. Cauldwell Wingate managed numerous specialty trades, including those necessary for the installation of radiation protection and nuclear shielding, a pneumatic tube system, nurse call stations and specialty flooring.
Cauldwell Wingate managed the entire tenant improvement package for the state-of-the-art cancer care center from pre-construction, value engineering, submittals, and approvals to construction, commissioning and punch list. To leverage base building work with tenant design requirements, Cauldwell Wingate worked closely with the developer/core & shell contractor, M.D. Carlisle, and the project team, ensuring clear and timely communication during design development.
