Cauldwell Wingate served as the Construction Manager for the three-phase expansion and modernization of the existing and occupied emergency department at Mount Sinai West. This 30,000sf project included the construction of new exam rooms, isolation rooms, CT and x-ray equipment, staff locker areas, emergency room entrance, and mechanical air distribution equipment. Significant phased make-ready work necessitated strict adherence to scheduling. As the emergency department was expanded and renovated while maintaining fully operational, 24-hour medical services, extensive infection control programs and coordination were implemented to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and the public.
