Cauldwell Wingate is proud to announce our involvement in the renovation of an existing warehouse into new retail and commercial office space on West 21st Street, contracted by Higher Ground Ground Development. To transform this 8-story, approximate 60k SF development, the team will focus on structural enhancement, a new façade, entry storefront/canopy/lobby, elevators and egress stairs, and all new MEPS systems. 50 Trinity Place

50 Trinity Place is a 28-story hotel building located in NYC’s financial district. The hotel will include 180 Guest Rooms, restaurant with a commercial kitchen, meeting room, gym, and office space for hotel management. The building features a reinforced concrete structure, combination of window wall, insulated metal panels, and EIFS façade, a Building Maintenance Unit, an emergency power generator, and also houses dedicated MTA space with physical connection to a nearby subway station. The tight jobsite logistics pose challenges for material deliveries and also require the combined use of boom truck and a Spyder crane for superstructure rebar loading. Project is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2022.

This 15k SF project is located in a Landmark building built in 1901 in downtown Brooklyn. The project proved challenging in a busy, congested area and original, landmarked windows and façade. The team showcased creativity and protection with the help of a safety coordinator and project expeditors from DOT. The final healthcare facility consists of exam, consultation and procedure rooms, office spaces, a lab and more.  The completed rooms are outfitted with custom millwork cabinetry and well as custom mill work furniture and solid surface Corian, 3 form panels and stainless steel in the recover area, nurse’s stations, reception and waiting areas. Luxury floor finishes, LED cove lighting and accent paint was installed to specify areas of medicine throughout the space.

SGI Queens Buddhist Temple

Cauldwell Wingate is pleased to share construction has reached the halfway point of the SGI Queens Buddhist Temple at 40-36 24th Street. This 3-story building will be a House of Worship including meeting rooms, office spaces, a bookstore, a public worship room, a pantry and an outdoor terrace space with amenities. We look forward to a productive 2021 and showcasing the finished project!

At our Roosevelt Avenue project, landscaping work at the expansive third floor residential amenity terrace has commenced. Installation of Hanover pavers & planter boxes has been completed and setting of topsoil, trees, and shrubs is well underway. Next will be the laying of IPE wood for decking areas & Turf Tek for a lawn/dog run, installation of a metal pergola & daybeds for lounging, and construction of an outdoor kitchen & dining area complete with two Viking grills. Screen windows installed in the stucco parapets will also provide great views of the neighborhood as well as the Manhattan skyline. Once completed, the terrace will surely be the finest outdoor amenity space that Queens has to offer.
